The Involuntary Loss of Employment (ILOE) Framework

Enacted under Federal Decree-Law No. 13 of 2022, the Involuntary Loss of Employment (ILOE) scheme is a mandatory federal social security safety net that provides financial compensation to employees who involuntarily lose their jobs.

Subscription Tiers

  • Category A (Basic Salary ≤ AED 16,000): Premium is AED 5/month (+5% VAT), amounting to AED 60/year. Cash benefit is 60% of average basic salary, capped at AED 10,000/month for up to 3 consecutive months.
  • Category B (Basic Salary > AED 16,000): Premium is AED 10/month (+5% VAT), amounting to AED 120/year. Cash benefit is 60% of average basic salary, capped at AED 20,000/month for up to 3 consecutive months.
