Statutory Overtime Pay Standards Under Article 19
Under UAE Labour Law, standard working hours for private sector employees are established at 8 hours per day (48 hours per week). During the Holy Month of Ramadan, normal working hours are reduced by 2 hours daily.

Statutory Overtime Limitations
Article 19 stipulates that total actual overtime hours worked shall not exceed 2 hours per day, except in emergency cases to prevent serious loss or accident.
